A 'Wicked' Time!

Following the hard work put in to our 2009 show by all the youngsters, we had a fabulous trip to see Wicked in the West End.

The kids even had time to chase leading man Oliver Thompsett up the road for a photo!

CAST Academy Perform with stars of Grease

On May Day Bank Holiday,  members of CAST academy were lucky enough to perform with Nicola Brazil & Stuart Ramsay, stars of the West End production of Grease. Having opened the event with a rendition of You're the One that I Want, Nicola & Stuart returned later (at the kids request!) and joined them for a finale version of Summer Nights. After photos and autographs, there were no doubt a few more youngsters dreaming of a career in the performing arts on Monday night!

NODA 'Flame' Award Winners

CAST Academy were delighted to win the NODA London 'Flame Award' for 'Outstanding Contribution to the Pursuit of Excellence in Theatre', for their 2008 production of Honk! A small group of Academy members attended the NODA AGM to receive the trophy.

NODA 'Constance Powers Trophy' Nomination

CAST Academy were also nominated for the 'Constance Powers Trophy' for 'Group Most Worthy of Encouragement' for their debut 2007 production 'Let's Go to the Movies'

Are you the right person to represent the views of your fellow CAST Academy members?

We are looking for a member of the Academy to attend the main CAST committee meetings to represent the views, thoughts and ideas of our younger members. Although this is a non-voting role, it will give the chosen candidate an opportunity to gain an insight into the running of the group, and help shape the CAST for the future. If you have the necessary drive and commitment and want to stand for election,  you will need to be nominated by another Academy member.
