CAST Academy is run by adult members of CAST (Colnbrook Amateur Stage Theatre), who between them have many years experience in the world of amateur theatre. All leaders are CRB checked to ensure the safety of young members.
Kim currently manages the group's administration, waiting lists etc. Kim became involved with CAST in December 2006 to help with the children involved in Dick Whittington and hasn't looked back since! Kim co-directed "Honk!" and more recently directed "Back to Broadway", but says she is remaining firmly behind the scenes for the 2009/10 season! Steve is CAST Academy's current Director and Child Protection Officer . He has been involved in theatre since 1986, and joined CAST back in 1995. He most recently directed Moby Dick, Honk! and Dick Whittington for CAST, all of which involved opportunities for younger members be in the limelight. Steve is looking forward to help the youngsters develop in their own shows. Steve Parkyn has many years experience with CAST and has directed numerous shows including Calamity Jane and A Tale of Two Cities. He was first involved with CAST Academy when he directed the West Side Story and Bugsy Malone numbers in 'Back to Broadway'. Having been bitten by the 'Youth' bug, Steve has been persuaded to get more involved during the 2009/10 season. Rob joined CAST for Calamity Jane and has been an active member ever since, despite a short break when he moved back to his native Manchester. Now firmly based back in the south, Rob is currently working with the adult group but is remaining as one of CAST Academy's group leaders and still wants to see the young blood at CAST Academy shine in their own shows.
